Our stately venue...the Burr Homestead!
J and I are both into historical sites; one of our favorite memories was visitng Monticello, here in VA. I could think of no better place to celebrate our union than the Burr Homestead, in Fairfield, CT. The Homestead was originally built in the early 1700s but was burnt down by the British in 1779. The present structure was rebuilt in 1790. The site served as the wedding location of John Hancock and Dorothy Quincy in 1775.
But not only is the site historic, it features beautiful gardens, which I hope will make for some lovely photos.

*Sadly, these photos are not mine. I pulled them from the Fairfield, CT pool on Flickr. I sent my dad to check out the Homestead and he didn't take photos for me. :( I plan on replacing these with my own when I go home next in April.
